Tui Update

This week we did cross country. Tui who were coming last moved up to third even though room 9 came last. Room eight landed a scorching second only 1 or 2 points of room 14. Now the rivalry between room 8 {Mrs Christie} and room 14 {Mr OC} is really starting to show. Room seven moved from 11th into sixth that's pretty good because the scores from room 8 and 7 have landed Tui in third which is very impressive.

The year eights are going up to Tawa collage to watch a performance put on by a collage performing group. This term we have been learning about citizenship in the form of government. If Tui can do well in all tournaments coming up this year we can beat powaki syndicate.

We have a fun run coming up in just under a month. The fun run is a sponsored run where each student has to get as many sponsors as possible. It is a five km lap race. If you want to you can do as many laps as you can. If you get 100 dollars you get 1 chocolate bar if you get 200 dollars you get 2 chocolate bars and so on.

The merits for SPEC got given out in assembly yesterday. The Spec teachers  {Mr Bunks, Mr skipworth, Mrs Tate and Mrs Lurry} choose seven or eight students form all of their SPEC classes for the term. Luke and Daniel both got woodwork merits and Someone from room 8 got a foods merit.

Tui went on a school trip to Te Papa I thought it was really awsome especially the awsome forces and the earthquake
house.
TUI RULE.
