Welcome to Room 17's blog!

We are a class of 28 awesome year 7 and 8 students at Tawa Intermediate in Wellington, New Zealand. This blog is a way for us to record our learning and share it with our whanau/families and the community.

Luke's weekly update

Blog
Tui is well on the way to winning the football tournament with all the practise and hard work all three classes are putting in to win the football tournaments. If we win we will gain at least three places on the points ladder. For practise we split into Boys A, Boys B, Girls A and girls B. Once divided we practise by putting the Room 8 girls A against the room seven Boys B and it goes on like that with the boys playing boys and the girls playing girls with an occasional mix of gender game.
Yesterday was the fun run. The fun run is a 6 lap [5km] course around the collage top field. You can do as many laps as you like. Nevada from room 8 did 13 laps [10.4km which is the most anyone did]. Everyone has to come dressed up in a class themed costume. Elliot from Room 7 came dressed up as bananas in pyjamas.
Tui syndicate is organising the dodge ball tournament. We decided on doing whole class games and pools. Seeing that we are organising the tournament we have an immediate advantage over the other syndicates.
