The end of term

School’s almost over,

It’s time to have a break.

Time to play, have some fun, get a dog called rover,

Mice will join the family; it’s 3 that I’ll take.

I’ll go and see my Pop,

I’ll see you there.

Mum wants a bunny, one with a big hop,

Sister wants a horse, a big chestnut mare.

My friend has a bunny,

One that likes to play.

Sister may go to riding camp, that may be funny,

She will have her horse – but only for a day.

School’s almost over,

It’s time to have a break.

I will have my mice; one will be called Grover,

There will also be Hannah and Maple-Bake.
